Sagebrush Rebellion

In December of 1980, the Sagebrush Rebellion was just another controversy between the Westerns and the federal government. The West was pushing for a new federal policy because during President Carter's time things were not good between the west and the federal government. They hoped President Reagan could help them. The West wanted rights to their land and didn't want it to be government property. They wanted the environment to stay safe and the government was trying to take that away from them.
